Services

Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder

Ambitions of Idaho has a multi-disciplinary Mental Health team providing services to clients as part of their collaborative treatment plan focused on providing the appropriate level of care needed. Our team of skilled clinicians is committed to assisting clients as they work through issues that may be interfering with their overall well-being. No one is refused counseling services for inability to pay.

Counseling

Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS) provide outpatient substance abuse treatment customized to meet the needs for our adults and adolescents. Our clinicians are experienced in various treatment modalities that support whole life living. Individual, couple, and family sessions provide opportunities to address issues critical to recovery. We also offer groups which are designed to enrich members with insight and guidance during times of crisis.

Substance Use Disorder

Case Management facilitates access to needed services through comprehensive assessment, service planning, referral, and monitoring of the member’s service planning activities. Case Management services are provided to members who struggle to navigate the service system on their own, and who do not have the assistance of other natural supports or resources to help them access needed services.

Community Based Rehabilitation

Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) is a home and community based program available to adults and children who are recovering from a severe and persistent mental illness. It promotes recovery through skill building and assists the member to integrate with their community. CBRS provides services aimed at helping the member improve their quality of life.

Family Support services provide support to families and caregivers who are caring for youth who have been identified as having a serious emotional disturbance (SED) or co-occurring disorder and assist the entire family in their own recovery. Family Support services are provided by a Certified Family Support Partner (CFSP) who is a parent or adult caregiver, with lived experience, specialized training, and has acquired an understanding of another parent’s situation via the shared emotional and psychological challenges of raising a child with SED.

Family Support Services

Peer Support Services provides a helping relationship between a person receiving behavioral health services and a Certified Peer Specialist. Peers are able to use personal experiences from their own recoveries to relate to participants with empathy, compassion, and insight. As a peer, they are able to role-model recovery and teach resilience.

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Equine-assisted psychotherapy is an experiential form of therapy which utilizes horses in the therapeutic process. Ambitions of Idaho utilizes the Eagala Model, a team approach which includes a licensed Mental Health Professional, a qualified Equine Specialist, the client, and horses working together. When working together, all the work is done on the ground with horses front and center. The horses are deliberately unhindered and never ridden, and allowed to interact with the client as they wish. This creates the space for the client, with the support of the professional facilitators, to reflect, project and make deep connections.
