Substance Use Treatment Groups

Early Recovery Skills & Relapse Prevention

Learn to live your life with purpose and meaning.

These groups are designed to provide an opportunity to learn essential skills to manage substance use problems, explore positive coping skills, and enhance your ability to develop healthy new friendships and relationships that support sobriety and relapse prevention.

Substance Use:
Learn to manage the unique challenges of addiction and use.

Interpersonal Use:
Building healthy relationships developing honesty and trust.

Emotional Regulation:
Cope with emotions in positive ways.

Cost is $20 per group and is covered by Medicaid.

Groups are available at all locations (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Caldwell). Spanish groups are also available in our Caldwell location.

Transgender Support Group

Meridian Office

This is a series of group counseling sessions for self-identified trans or gender expansive people from 18 to 50 years old who have made or hope to make changes in their lives, appearance, gender expression or physicality to live in balance with their gender identity. These changes often involve grief and social friction. The purpose of these sessions is to come together and support individuals in the group, foster resilience and confidence, discuss family and social coming out hurdles, and spread practical information about transition related subjects. This is intended to be a safe and affirming space moderated by transgender community members who are licensed practicing counselors. Please attend regardless of where you may be in a transition process or how you feel you might appear.
This group meets Mondays from 6:30pm until 8:00pm at our Meridian Office.

Cost is $20 per group and there is a sliding scale available for those who qualify.

Transgender Support Group for
Teens and Parents

Join Ambitions of Idaho for a 6 week support group for Transgender teens and their families. This group will provide education to parents and teens, debunk myths and help families remain connected as they process the changes within the family.

Eye of the Storm: Finding Center in Anger

Now enrolling for an open 12-week program. Join us to learn more about anger and develop tools for how to deal with anger in a healthy way.
This group meets Wednesdays from 7:00pm until 8:00pm at our Meridian Office.

Cost is $20 per group and is covered by Medicaid.

Youth Empowerment and
Recovery Training

Join Ambitions of Idaho for a 9-week Teen SUDS group where teens will learn problem solving skills, anger awareness, anger management, communication and depression management skills. By the end of this group, teens will have improved family functioning, decreased drug use, increased social performance attendance and reduced involvement with juvenile justice.
This group meets Wednesdays from 4:30pm until 5:30pm at our Meridian Office.

Cost is $20 per group and is covered by Medicaid.

Parenting the Trauma-Informed Way

Thursdays 6:15pm – 7:15pm
October 3rd through November 14th 2019
Ambitions of Idaho Meridian Location

Join Ambitions of Idaho for a 6 week parenting course where parents and caregivers will learn trauma informed parenting interventions using Positive Discipline. By the end of this course, parents and caregivers will better understand their children’s behaviors, what motives them and how to response in away that provides long term benefits to the whole family. Trauma informed parenting interventions can be used for children of all ages.
Social Skills Group for Children offered at the same time as parenting group.

Cost is $25 Private Pay per group and $40 for 2 Parents per group.

Free for Medicaid clients. Sliding scale available for those who qualify.
